1. Avocado Toast

Spread a tablespoon of ripe avocado on a slice of stone ground, 100% whole wheat toast for a satisfying mini-meal. 

Avocado contains heart healthy anti-oxidants and monounsaturated fat. The bread provides just the right amount of fiber to keep you full until lunch or dinner. 

Eating on a regular schedule and enjoying between-meal snacks will help keep your glucose levels steady. But make sure your snacks deliver around 200 calories so you don’t overeat—that will just spike your glucose levels and lead to weight gain.
