5. Set Small Goals

Doing yard work? You don’t have to clear out all those weeds in one day. Aim for one quarter of your property today, and another tomorrow. That way, you won’t exhaust your energy or your motivation. 

Spacing out your tasks may also prevent an onslaught of joint pain. So give yourself the chance to rest; those dirty dishes can wait while you take a break on your couch.
