9. Try Complementary Therapies

You can supplement your traditional DMARDs and biologics with non-drug therapies that may relieve pain, calm anxieties and improve your nutrition.  

A few ideas to try out:  

-Meditation  

-Reiki 

-Tai chi 

-Acupuncture 

-Nutritional supplements 

-Herbal remedies 

-Physical therapy 

Before you dive into alternative therapy, remember to tell your doctor. You need to make sure your alternatives won’t do you harm or interfere with your medications.  And remember--these therapies are no substitute for consistent treatment with medication and physical activity.
