1. Starting the Journey

Hodgkin’s lymphoma took Kelly and Paul by surprise, when they were each in their 20s. AnneMarie was an accountant and a mom when she started chemotherapy to treat her invasive lobular breast cancer.

More than a million people per year undergo similar experiences when they’re diagnosed with cancer, but each one faces an individualized treatment, with its own challenges and risks. For many, chemotherapy is part of that treatment.

Chemotherapy, while different for everyone, presents similar challenges to whoever is going through it. Here, Kelly, Paul and AnneMarie share their experiences, side effects and results of their cancer treatment.
